Walker sits on the bay of the third largest lake in the state (and since there are over 10,000, that’s saying something). There’s an endless amount of things to do when you visit<\/span> Leech Lake<\/span><\/a> including hanging out at the beach and staying cool in the water,<\/span> fishing<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> sailing<\/span><\/a>, and partaking in various water sports!<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Take a Hike!<\/b><\/h3>\n

Walker, MN is located conveniently near several great hiking trails. When planning a hike, you can venture through Chippewa National Forest (which is home to the highest concentration of bald eagles seen in the lower 48 states), Paul Bunyan State Forest, and Itasca State Park! Itasca State Park is perfect for exploring and visiting attractions such as the fire tower, the Old Growth Forest, and the Mississippi River Headwaters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
